“I define connection as the energy that exists between two people when they feel seen, heard, and valued...”
― Brené Brown
“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough”
― Oprah Winfrey
Family therapy explores the diverse range of perspectives and needs from each member. Striving to achieve mutual understanding and validation strengthens openness and connection within the family. As the family members feel heard and valued, they begin working on individual adjustments to contribute to the overall family goals. My focus is on helping the family share their emotions and needs, understand and validate other perspectives, and create new, healthy patterns within the family system. I use several methods such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Family Systems, CBT, and Interpersonal when working with families. When families are connected, open, and willing to understand, no problem is too big to work through.
